What causes trailer air bags to leak?
Trailer air bags leak due to dry rot from age and UV exposure, road debris damage, rubbing against frame components, or valve stem failures. Most air bags need replacement after 5-7 years of service.
Can you replace air bags on-site?
Yes. TruMac replaces trailer air bags on-site at fleet yards throughout Sacramento, Rancho Cordova (95670, 95742), Stockton, and Lathrop. We carry OEM air bags for Hendrickson, Neway, and Reyco systems. Most replacements completed in 1-2 hours per axle.
What are signs of bad height control valves?
Bad height control valves cause uneven ride height side-to-side, slow suspension response when loading/unloading, constant air bag inflation/deflation cycling, or one corner sagging. Frozen moisture in winter can also cause valve failures.
